We got a ton of good, early February-style snow yestereve.
This morning was a whitened morning, with more snow than we've had at one time in more than a year. We've had a pretty good year for snow, but there hasn't been much accumulation here in the valley from any one or two storms.

A granary, a couple of blocks to the south of us.

Same place, different angle.

This is a house that hasn't had anyone live in it for at least twenty years. I've talked with the owner a few times over the past fifteen years and he's not in the mood to get rid of it. Too bad, we'd love it.

Here's another shot of our own house, looking toward the east.

Here's a bit of a wayback ride, The James Brown Celebrity Hot Tub!
There were days when we had time and energy to emulate those who were comically imitating masters of entertainment, way back when I was in high school. Ol' Tad and
I would deck out his hot tub with incense and bring out the food, inviting everyone who would come to our own little 'celebrity hot tub'. It was just too hot in the hot tub, back then. Good memories, indeed.

Eddie himself:

Oh, yeah, here's a transcript of the too-hot lyrics:

Sometimes it make me break out in a cold sweat!
One two three four!

Hot tub! Ha! Da!
Ah, full of water!
I say hot tub! Ha!
Day! Ba! Very, very hot. Very hot! Da!
Hot tub! Gonna get ya hot-a!
Gonna make ya sweat! Hey! Say!
Hot tub! Rub a dub in the hot tub!
Rub a dub with me!

Should I get in the hot tub?
(Yeah!) Will it make me sweat?
(Yeah!) Should I get in the hot tub?
(Yeah!) Will it make me wet?
(Yeah!) Well, well, well..

Hot tub! Ah!
Get in!
Gonna get in the water!
Gonna make me sweat! Ah!
Here I go in the hot tub!

Hhhhhiiiigggghhhh!!!

Too hot in the hot tub! Ma!
Burn myself!
Make it cooler!
Good God!
Gonna make me..

I'm gonna get in the hot tub..
I'm gonna get in the hot tub..
I'm gonna get in the hot tub..
Ha! Lilin! Lidilin! Eh!
A gonna make me sweat-ah!
Dah! Gonna make me sweat!
Gonna make me sweat-ah!

Gluttony. A very interesting article.
Hey- I have seven kids. I need the damn Suburban. Besides, I can't afford to drive it anyway.
Farging overpaid theologians. I think that Socrates would agree that philosophy and theology should be strictly pro-bono professions...

I found some time before sunset yesterday to get most of the garden tilled. I got the old garden area turned over just as darkness blended the untilled with the tilled ground so that I couldn't see where to go next. Not bad timing, at all.
