At this time of year I occasionally long for frost, snow and ice, not because I like winter (it is my least favorite season)but because snow would mean that the canning, freezing, drying, and preserving of the seemingly endless harvest would be over. I know I should be grateful of the bounty of the harvest but sometimes my gratitude gets stuck in the bottom of the dirty jam pan.
I know that I'll miss those vine ripe tomatoes though.....

Could you send a little of that stuff my way. I forgot about ice, which is only to be found in the freezer around here. That is if you remember to fill the ice trays.
