Pioneer Day 2015

The twenty-fourth is a big deal all around Utah, but as every holiday or occasion, there are a number of opinions and versions of commemorative activities available to Utahans, both Mormon and otherwise. We choose to hang about, put up subversive flags to remind anyone with an inclination toward reminding that the 'Saints chose to leave the US of A to come to Mexican territory for the sake of safety and freedom and all that jazz, and that the Mormons, before they became Ayn Randian "Objectivists", were an idealistic, community-centered lot of immigrants.
Long sentence, I know, but it's an idea worth unwinding...

Chocolate Turkey chicks- a bit small and late, but we'll see how they turn out.
